Regarding to the criteria of Waste Management, GreenHotels’ team, examines the following parameters at each one of its candidate hotels members:

1. Active recycle program about:
   • Paper
   • Plastic
   • Glass
   • Aluminum
   • Batteries
   • Cooking oils
2. Compost organic waste such as fruit and vegetables peelings
3. Implementation of a recycling program registered by the local authorities
4. Use eco friendly detergents for your daily needs

The total score of each hotel in this criterion depends on and is calculated by the number and the nature of the above parameters which are being satisfied by hotel.

The maximum total score in “Waste Management” for each hotel is 17.
